The Rifugio Stella Alpina (1450 m) set in Val Genova, its many waterfalls making it one of the most beautiful of the Alpine valleys, is an ideal starting point not only for excursions to the Adamello (3554 m) and the Presanella (3556 m) glaciers, but also, for the less adventurous, far enjoying the tranquil Alpine scenery. The Rifugio Stella Alpina has fifteen rooms, with between two and four beds each, and in addition to offering the traditional cuisine of Trentino area, can accomodate groups. The Adamello-Brenta Natural Park extending over 618 square kilometres of conifer and broadleaf forests, as well as glaciers in the Alpine area in the Trento region of north-eastern Italy, offers the visitors splendid vistas of flora, such as buttercups and anemones, rhododendrons and edelweiss, while the fauna includes the brown bear, whose survival is a major concern in this area, chamois, roebucks and wood grouse, as well as eagles and buzzards.
